Rights in Action: A Practical Guide to Human Rights & Youth Advocacy
Human rights are fundamental to building fair, inclusive, and democratic societies. Yet discrimination, inequality, conflict, and social exclusion continue to affect young people across Europe. Understanding these rights is essential, but knowing how to defend them and turn awareness into meaningful action is equally important.
To support this mission, ONDE presents “Rights in Action: Human Rights & Youth Advocacy,” a new educational booklet designed to help young people, youth workers, and educators explore human rights, promote active citizenship, and develop practical advocacy skills.
The publication brings together the methodology, activities, and outcomes of our Erasmus+ Youth Exchange “Rights in Action,” held in Lecce, Italy, from February 24 to March 4, 2026. The project brought together 24 young people from Italy, Greece, Poland, and Slovakia for seven days of non-formal education, intercultural dialogue, and experiential learning focused on human rights and youth participation.

Through “Rights in Action,” we hope to inspire more young people to recognize the power of their voices, challenge injustice, and contribute to building more inclusive and equitable communities.
